About the Bowen Technique

I trained with the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia (BTAA).

The Bowen Technique is a gentle but powerful, non-invasive therapy which allows your body to heal itself with the minimum of intervention.

It uses movements across the muscle fibres which remind the body of its original blueprint. This sets in motion a chain of healing, balancing and recharging.

Bowen was pioneered in Australia in the 1950s by the late Tom Bowen - a naturally talented healer. At one time, he was treating 13,000 people a year with his technique. From there, Bowen spread worldwide.

Benefits

The Bowen Technique is extremely beneficial for a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Back pain and sciatica
  • Frozen shoulders
  • Stress and tension
  • RSI and tennis elbow
  • Knee and ankle problems
  • Sports injuries
  • Asthma and hayfever
  • Migraines and headaches

About your treatment

Your treatment takes place fully clothed. You will experience a series of gentle moves across the muscle fibres. It's quite a unique feeling!

Most people enjoy the sensation, and the accompanying feeling of relaxation. During the treatment you can expect to feel an enhanced sense of well-being in both body and mind.

Treatments generally take an hour.
